Why private equity companies are wading into shareholder disputes

Private equity firms are starting to take a more active role in disputes at their portfolio companies, according to a senior litigator.
“Private equity houses are more involved in litigation processes than perhaps they would have been before,” said Chris Bushell, a dispute resolution partner at Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer.
